For the second day of the workshop we were all given different items and asked to make them the focal point of our displays. My item was a long piece of shimmery gold fabric, I decided to drape it on a mannequin as a makeshift toga.
My theme was ancient pagan ritual, I was inspired by roman culture, fairy-tales and the fact that we were on Halloween day. A noble woman performing witchcraft in a candlelit circle, summoning higher powers through her enchanted mirror.
The flowers are all actually supposed to be part of the dress, the ones on the lower side are connecting the front of the dress to the back and the one at the top functions as a pin of sorts to keep the upper section of the dress from slipping off.
