The mannequins in this display belong to the t-shirt bra section of the store, where reliable, everyday-wear bras with no matching knickers are kept. The displays in this section were never updated since the brand's inception. In order to breathe new air into the section, I proposed that at least the bottoms of the mannequins should be rotated through the ever-changing knicker sets collections, displaying new arrivals and encouraging customers to pick up knickers when buying t-shirt bras.
The centre-pieces of the display are the knickers not the bras, so I wanted them to standout far more, and decided to alternate the direction of the mannequins and have only the two front-facing ones wearing a bra. The back-facing mannequin will be used to showcase knickers with more interesting designs on the back.
The idea was so well-received that the head-office VM team sent out directives to all stores nationwide to adopt the idea and revitalise their own t-shirt bra section.
