This display was for the December refresh of the M&S kidswear mannequin display, following on from a vibrant and festive Christmas installation. The concept focused on monochromes, tactile fabrics, and layered textures to evoke a cosy, comfortable, and winter-appropriate look and feel. The styling aimed to balance warmth and practicality with a modern, clean aesthetic, ensuring the display felt inviting while remaining commercially relevant for the post-festive trading period.
Due to limited product availability, four of the mannequins could not be dressed exactly as outlined in the original planogram. This provided an opportunity to exercise creative problem-solving and styling autonomy. I selected alternative garments that aligned with the intended palette and mood, maintaining visual consistency across the display while working with the stock available in store.
The final result delivered a cohesive, tonal presentation that stayed true to the brand’s direction, demonstrated flexibility in execution, and reinforced the narrative of comfort, texture, and everyday wearability within kidswear.
